Maxi Zoo entered the Polish market in 2012 and has since been the fastest-growing network of pet stores in the country. In 2021, Maxi Zoo Poland won the title of “BEST BRICK-AND-MORTAR STORE” for the 7th time in the TOP FOR DOG 2021 competition, once again becoming the number 1 among pet stores. Additionally, it received an award for the best social initiative, “Friendship Connects – Together for Animals.” Currently, the company operates over 100 stores in several cities, including Warsaw, Poznań, Katowice, Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Opole, Sosnowiec, Gliwice, Białystok, Wołomin, Piaseczno, Lublin, Wrocław, Bytom, Gdynia, Gdańsk, Tczew, Swarzędz, Tychy, Kraków, Łódź, Milanówek, Zabrze, Tarnów, Kalisz, Konin, Radom, Szczecin, Lubin, Toruń, Zielona Góra, and Ostrołęka. In 2019, the network started online sales and opened the website www.maxizoo.pl.
In 2022, the network launched its own application for customers. Those who choose to install it can activate a permanent 5% Friends discount on every purchase, valid until June 31, 2024, and it can be combined with other promotions offered by the network. Through the application, Maxi Zoo customers also receive special discount coupons for selected products, the ability to shop online from their smartphones, find the nearest brick-and-mortar store, access the latest promotional offers, and read interesting articles related to animals.
Maxi Zoo is part of the Fressnapf Group, which operates in 11 European countries. Each store offers over 6,000 products from well-known brands at affordable prices, as well as products exclusively available in this network (foods and accessories) such as Premiere, Select Gold, Real Nature, or Dogs Creek.
The brand’s philosophy and the entire business concept of the network are based on values, with the underlying belief that “Animals enrich our lives day by day, and that is what connects us.” Consistently following this idea, the network actively engages in actions for animals. Since its inception in Poland, Maxi Zoo has been involved in various charitable social initiatives and has been helping homeless animals. Collaboration with shelters, volunteering, support for responsible adoption, and partnerships with GOPR, OTOP, and Animal Guard are among the main CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities of the company in Poland.
